We collect only the information necessary to operate the Platform, comply with legal obligations, and protect users from fraud and harm.

3. Video Updates, Visibility, and Safety

Video updates are used solely for verification, accountability, and transparency.

  • Videos are not publicly visible unless explicit consent is given.

Recipients are strongly advised not to record exact locations, addresses, license plates, or other sensitive identifying details. VideoBackedMoney may restrict or obscure portions of videos that present safety risks while still treating the submission as valid verification.

4. Accessibility and Accommodations

If a Recipient is unable to record video due to a disability, documented limitation, or other safety concern, the Sponsor may request a reasonable alternative verification method. Accommodations are provided in a manner that preserves accountability and platform integrity.

5. Location Data

VideoBackedMoney does not collect continuous GPS location data. Merchant location information received through transaction records is used for verification and fraud prevention and is aggregated or redacted in public displays.

6. Data Sharing

Information may be shared with:

  • Payment processors and issuing banks
  • Identity verification and security providers
  • Legal authorities when required by law or to prevent harm

We do not sell or rent personal data.

7. Data Retention and Deletion

Financial and transaction records are retained as required by law, typically for up to seven years. Video and account data are retained while accounts remain active or under review.

Users may request account deletion, which may result in deactivation and anonymization of personal data, subject to legal retention requirements.
